Myrrh, or Commiphora myrrha, is a substance known since ancient times as one of the ingredients used in religious ceremonies in ancient Egypt. It was also one of the components of the famous Egyptian perfume kyphi and was also used in embalming processes. Since that time, its antioxidant properties were known, which is why Egyptian women used it regularly in their cosmetic preparations. Its cooling properties on the skin also make it very suitable for use in dry and hot climates.
Myyrh has astrigent and regenerative properties. On the emotional level, it works and raises the level of consciousness, providing desired spiritual balance.
Uses: Choose your desired Alqvimia essential oil and use it as an aromatherapy blend with your carrier oil or simply use a couple of drops in the diffuser for a wholesome home scent creating a tranquil spa environment.

Cosmetic level: Myrrh Essential Oil has astringent properties and is a good skin regenerator due to its healing and regenerative action. It is a preventive of skin aging and has anti-wrinkle activity, contributes to a good preservation of tissues.
Therapeutic level: It is an essential oil with healing, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It is also a good anti-catarrhal, sedative, carminative and emmenagogue oil.
Emotional level: Myrrh Essential Oil works and raises the level of consciousness providing the desired spiritual balance. Create a pleasant and warm atmosphere working the security and rejuvenation of the soul.

USES:
Diffuser: The use of heat-free diffusers such as the ALQVIMIA Diffuser is recommended, since heat modifies the properties of the oil. Use a maximum of 10 drops of the Essential Oil in the diffuser.
Body Massage: Mix in a carrier vegetable oil such as Almond oil, Rosehip oil,... at a maximum proportion of 3% (6 drops of Essential Oil per 10ml of Carrier Oil)
Facial Massage: Mix in a carrier vegetable oil such as Wheatgerm Oil,... at a maximum proportion of 1% (2 drops of Essential Oil for every 10ml of Carrier Oil).
Bath: Dilute a maximum of 10-15 drops of Essential Oil in a small amount of milk (vegetable or animal), yogurt, honey, salt or Bath Gel. This is because Essential Oils are not soluble in water and need a vehicle to be dissolve in the bath.
Steam Inhalation: Apply a maximum of 5 drops of Essential Oil on a hot water pot with approximately 1-2 liters of water, and inhale by covering the head and the pot with a towel, this will help steam for longer.
Facial Mask: It is recommended to apply 2 to 4 total drops of Essential Oil in the preparation of the mask, always taking into account the result to be obtained
and/or if it must be mixed with other Essential Oils.
